Special Report on Using and Obtaining Criminal Records--Part One
This is a review of the area of obtaining and using criminal records.  There are a number of legal and practical considerations that are discussed.  For example, it is not lawful to automatically exclude an applicant because of a criminal conviction, and it is unlawful to consider certain criminal records.  A pre-employment firm must know what records an employer can legally possess.
