ESRnet System Settings

For the optimal use of the ESRnet system, the following are the minimum requirements for our operating system.

Operating System: Windows 98 or Higher (Windows XP Service Pack 2 minimum)

System Memory:  128MB or Higher

System Hard Drive:  none
Will need to install Internet Explorer, Java and Adobe

Web Browser:  Internet Explorer 6.0 (Service Pack 2) or higher
(Go to Internet Explorer, choose Help menu, look at the About option)

Java – install the latest version from www.java.com (minimum version SE 1.4.2_03)
Make sure only one version is running.

Adobe Acrobat Reader – install the latest version from www.adobe.com (minimum version 5.0)
Make sure only one version is running.

Pop-Up Blocker – set to DISABLED
Tools/Internet Options/Security Tab/Trusted Sites/Custom Level

Firewall Software (disabled until system tested for functionality)

Internet Options: DSL at a minimum

Configure your ClearStar.net URL as a trusted website (Tools/Internet Options/Security Tab/Select Trusted sites) with the security level set to Low for this trusted site

Netscape, FoxFire and Mozilla are not supported to run the site

NOTE: Microsoft has a policy of discontinuing support for their software applications. It is always a good idea to check their site to see when your application support is no longer available. It is not necessary to have the latest Microsoft software to run the ClearStar.net application, but if your software is out of date with Microsoft; Microsoft technical support will no longer be available.

Internet Explorer Settings

Open new browser
Select Tools
Select Internet Options

Deleting Cookies and History
Click on the “General Tab”
Click on “Delete” in the “Browsing History” section.
Click on the “Settings” link in the “Browsing History” section.

Click Check for newer versions of stored pages “Every time I visit the webpage” – click OK.

Next – Trusted Sites:
Click on the “Security” Tab
Click on “Trusted Sites”
Click on “Sites”.
Verify that your URL and certified invoice is entered as a trusted site. If not, add. https://www.certifiedinvoice.com) – Click “Close”.

Click on the “Custom Settings” Button
Set the Security Level to “Low” for both of these sites.
Select all settings to “Enable” or “Prompt”. Any settings with ActiveX; Scriptlets; and NetFramework must be checked for Enable. These settings are only for your Trusted Sites.
