Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)  Digest Service

The legal staff at Employment Screening Resources will shortly be placing it's FCRA Digest Service on this this site. It will be free to ESR clients, and also available at no charge to academics, researchers, and other parties with an interest in public records who can utilize the site for non-commercial purposes.   Portions of the  FCRA Digest concerning sections affecting the rights of consumers will be made available to the public on this site. 

The  FCRA Digest will will include the following:
1.  A summary and digest of all the opinion letters published by the Federal   Trade Commission (FTC) Staff on the FCRA, including analysis and cross-references;
2.  A section  by section  summary of the FCRA;
3.  A summary of all Federal and state cases concerning the FCRA;
4.  An analysis of the provisions of the FCRA removing the seven year limit on criminal records,   and a state by state analysis of the current status of criminal record searches in each state.
5.  Special reports on selected area of the FCRA affecting pre-employment screening.
