Due diligence does not stop once an applicant is hired. An organization may have procedures for pre-employment background checks, but what duties and tools do employers have after someone is hired and on the job. In this session, learn how to avoid post-hire issues, such as embezzlement or theft of trade secrets if an employee’s personal financial situation changes. Employers have also faced embarrassing revelations that an executive falsified their resume, a previously unknown criminal conviction comes to light or an employee commits a new crime. A business may acquire a new workforce during an acquisition or merger, and may need to perform checks on the new workers. Learn about post-hire background screening issues to reduce insider threats, and to deal with situations that can occur after employment
