The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) recently approved updated guidance documents regarding the use of arrest or conviction records in employment decisions. In addition, the EEOC has filed highly publicized lawsuits against employers for the discriminatory use of criminal records. Understand how the new guidance documents impact hiring and take steps to demonstrate compliance. Through examination of court decisions, learn best practices and options for handling questions about criminal records.
