Summary: This session will help you avoid bad hires by keeping current on trends, best practices, and legal compliance affecting background checks and due diligence in hiring. Employers have long recognized that screening is a mission critical task. It is important for you to stay current since there are new tools available, as well as an increase in litigation, regulation, and legislation. This session will review the top 10 trends and best practices for 2015 for background checks and safe hiring, including criminals records and new federal regulations that may impact tribes. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion or certificate of attendance for the conference.
Speaker Bio: Human Resources technology industry veteran Hudson Tree joined the Employment Screening Resources (ESR) team in 2013 to lead the sales team and manage relationships between ESR’s strategic and technology partners. Hudson brings ESR and its clients the benefit of over 15 years of software experience focused on web-based human resource technology solutions. He possesses a unique blend of product development knowledge along with a client-view understanding of the importance of and strategic advantages gained through automating and improving human resource processes. Hudson has been involved with applicant tracking and other human resources solutions since 1999 when he joined web-based applicant tracking pioneer Brassring in their first year in business. Hudson received his degree in Business Administration from California State University, Chico.
