Brad Landin, President, Employment Screening Resources (ESR)
Background screening industry veteran Brad Landin joined the Employment Screening Resources (ESR) management team in April of 2011 and assumed the role of President in September of 2011. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's strategy, operations, and finances. He brings more than 35 years of management experience in both the private and public sectors and over 25 years of experience in regulated industry compliance matters.
Landin has spearheaded ESR’s rise to being “The Background Check Authority®” and the only screening provider offering automated real-time compliance. The ESR Assured Compliance® system uses the fully automated ESR Applicant Generated Report® (AGR) system to constantly update screening reports with required changes in hiring and employment laws. ESR makes compliance with new screening regulations virtually painless in a totally paperless environment.
Under Landin’s leadership, ESR successfully completed a stringent Service Organization Control 2 (SOC2) audit that found ESR maintains security, confidentiality, and privacy of screening system data. This SOC 2 report ensures ESR meets the current high standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to protect customer and third-party information. ESR has all appropriate controls in place to secure and protect information systems and databases.
Before joining ESR, Landin worked in the screening industry since 1999 and was instrumental in making an industry startup one of the top 25 background screening firms as measured by revenue. Landin also has extensive experience in background screening operations, as well as legal compliance, and is an active participant in the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), the background screening industry trade association, including a role in their lobbying efforts at the federal and state levels.
Dawn Standerwick, Vice President of Strategic Growth, Employment Screening Resources (ESR)
Dawn Standerwick joined ESR in April of 2015 as Vice President Strategic Growth. A seasoned industry professional, Dawn strongly enhances ESR’s management team with prior executive management experience in operations, sales, business development, marketing, and online solutions. She brings 24 years of experience in all facets of workforce screening solutions with extensive knowledge of background screening, drug testing, and occupational health testing. Her areas of responsibility with ESR include sales, business development, brand marketing, and client success.
Prior to joining ESR, Dawn held senior positions in the screening industry as Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and most recently as Vice President of Business Development. In addition to her employment work experience, Dawn has been called upon as background screening subject matter expert.
Dawn is a long time member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and was elected Chair of the NAPBS for the 2016-17 term. The NAPBS is the industry’s professional association and accreditation body of which ESR is a founding member. She is actively involved on the NAPBS government relations committee and participates in legislative advocacy efforts on behalf of the association. She regularly meets with legislators and governmental agencies including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in Washington DC to promote common interests of Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs) and Human Resource professionals alike.
Dawn served on the Board of Directors for HR Tampa, Florida’s largest Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Chapter, as a co-director of Sponsorships in 2013, and is currently a member of SHRM and the Mile High SHRM Chapter in Denver, Colorado.
