downloading Adobe Acrobat:
Many computers already
have the Adobe Acrobat Reader already downloaded. If it is
not downloaded, you can do in from this site in a matter of a few minutes.
Once it is downloaded on your computer, you can use it to read
numerous documents on many web sites.
- Click on the icon
above to go to the Adobe Acrobat Reader site.
- On the bottom
of the Adobe site are three boxes.
- In the first box,
fill in the platform you are using (e.g. Windows95 or Windows 98).
- Go to the third
box and click the download button.
- You will then get
a dialogue box asking you to either open the file or to download it.
Select the button to download the file.
- You will then
be asked where do you want to save it. On most computers, it will
default to saving it on the desktop. Save the Adobe file to the
desktop in order to get back to it easily.
- After the Adobe
Acrobat Reader is saved to your desktop, minimize all open pages in
order to go to your desktop. There you will find the icon for
the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Click on the icon
and it will automatically load the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer-just
follow any directions that are asked.
- You can now read
any document on the web that utilizes the Adobe Acrobat Reader, including
the ESRnet.
