Attorney and background check expert Lester Rosen, Founder and CEO of Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), and Jayne Liera, Backgrounds Manager of Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission, will co-host two sessions at the National Tribal Gaming Commissioners/Regulators (NTGC/R) Fall 2014 Conference that takes place September 16 to 18, 2014 at the Couer d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel in Worley, Idaho. To learn more about the NTGC/R Fall 2014 Conference, view a brochure at http://www.ntgcr.com/2014/Brochure_Sept_2014.doc.

Liera and Rosen will co-host a session titled ‘Legal Compliance, Speed & Accuracy – A Case Study for Background Investigations’ on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:45 AM and Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 9:00 AM. They will show why background checks are a critical tool for Tribal Gaming to prevent the legal and financial nightmare from just one bad hire. One case study will examine how a Tribal Gaming organization implemented a state-of-the-art screening program with an emphasis on legal compliance, speed, and accuracy.

According to the NTGC/R website, two National Tribal Gaming conferences have been held every year in the spring and the fall since 2000. The conferences focus on regulatory education and nationally known figures in Tribal Gaming provide informative general session presentations. The annual trade show is limited to providers of goods and services that include practitioners of Indian Law, CPA firms, and background investigation services.
