Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), a nationwide accredited background check firm, has been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a member of the SHRM Preferred Provider Program able to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP™) through the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge™ (SHRM BoCK™).

According to the SHRM Preferred Provider Program webpage, “SHRM has established the SHRM Preferred Provider Program to give organizations that offer education, training and/or other HR-related Competency and Knowledge programming the opportunity to award PDCs, without pre-approval by SHRM, during a 2-year period.” SHRM Preferred Providers eliminate the guesswork for credential holders who know that a Preferred Provider program qualifies for SHRM recertification credits.

The ESR Online Safe Hiring Certification Training Course created by ESR Founder and CEO Attorney Lester Rosen is divided into seven units covering critical areas of employment background checks. Each unit can be taken separately or all together as an entire course. As a SHRM Preferred Provider, ESR offers 2.5 or 3.0 PDCs for each unit and 20.0 PDCs for completion of the entire course. The entire course is also approved for 20 (HR (General)) recertification credit hours and the webcast is approved for 1 (HR (General)) recertification credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
