Other topics covered in this online training session will include:
- Learn effective and legal strategies to verify an applicant’s past employment and education accomplishments.
- Explore why employment reference checking creates legal issues for employers and strategies for obtaining information and dealing with requests from other employers.
- Learn why phony education credentials are problematic and how to spot degree mills.
- Review new technologies and approaches to credentials verifications.
- Understand special issues when it comes to social media sites and employment and education verification.
‘Legal and Effective Reference Checking and Education Verification’ will also include helpful insights and best practices on when asking for past employment information, handling verification of current employment, what to do if past employers no longer exist, military employment, and dealing with employment databases. New technology and approaches will be reviewed, as well as special issues involving international credentials and the role of social media sites in the process.
