As part of NSBW, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of entrepreneurs and small business owners from all 50 states and U.S. territories that are working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.
The SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
