The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) has announced that the 2017 NAPBS Annual Conference will take place as scheduled from September 17 to 19, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The NAPBS had been closely monitoring the impact of Hurricane Irma – a Category 4 hurricane that made landfall in the Florida Keys on Sunday, September 10, 2017 – on the host site for the conference.
The NAPBS received word that the host hotel for the 2017 NAPBS Annual Conference – the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center – was fully functioning and had fortunately avoided any significant impact and was therefore are ready to host the conference. In addition, airports in Orlando are beginning operations as well and will continue to add flights over the next few days to regain full capacity.
While the hotel was spared, some homes and offices of NAPBS members were not as fortunate. The thoughts of the NAPBS are with them as they recover and rebuild. NAPBS members who registered for the conference but are unable to attend due to Hurricane Irma should email email@example.com. The thoughts of the NAPBS are with their members and everyone impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Harvey.
The 2017 NAPBS Annual Conference offers a diverse range of educational topics ranging from strategic business sessions, futuristic technology, legal issues, nuts and bolts “how-to” programs, international screening techniques, compliance guidelines, employment discrimination and what is on the horizon for consumer reporting agencies.
