DOT Approves Electronic Forms for Drug Testing

A final rule that took effect on April 13, 2015 amends U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to incorporate changes to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) chain of custody and control form (CCF) approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has released its latest Supervisory Highlights report that shows CFPB supervisory resolutions resulted in remediation of $19.4 million to more than 92,000 consumers. The New York City Council is expected to pass a bill – “Stop Credit Discrimination in Employment Act” (Int. No. 261-A) – that will bar employers from viewing the credit reports of job seekers and also prohibit them from asking about credit scores in job interviews, according to an exclusive report from the New York Daily News.
