Experian Data Breach Exposes PII of T-Mobile Customers

On September 15, 2015, credit reporting agency Experian discovered a data breach where an unauthorized party accessed records containing personally identifiable information (PII) of T-Mobile users including names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers (SSNs), and additional information housed in an Experian server, according an FAQ page about the data breach on the Experian website. Maine Enacts New Social Media Privacy Law

A newly enacted law in Maine – LD 686, HP 467, An Act To Promote Privacy in Social Media – will protect the social media privacy of employees and job applicants law by prohibiting employers from requiring employees or job applicants to disclose passwords or any other means for accessing their personal social media accounts. OOIDA Members Lawsuit Challenges FMCSA Pre-Employment Screening Program

Six members of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) have filed a class action lawsuit in federal court in Boston, MA against the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) under the Federal Privacy Act, according to a press release from OOIDA.
