All US Courts Closed on November 11 in Observance of Veterans Day

All U.S. Courts are closed on Monday, November 11, 2013 in observance of the Veterans Day, according to the ‘Federal Holidays’ page of U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) website at http://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/snow-dismissal-procedures/federal-holidays/#url=2013.

California courts will be closed for Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, 2013, according to the ‘Holidays’ page of the California Judicial Branch website at http://www.courts.ca.gov/holidays.htm.

Veterans Day is an official United States holiday observed on November 11 every year to honor people who have served in armed service known as veterans.  Veterans Day coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.

Courts are scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
