Safe Hiring Expert Explains EEOC Criminal Record Guidance at SHRM Talent Management Conference

On April 25, 2012, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued new Guidance on the use of criminal records in hiring decisions. Two years later, employers still needing help to ensure compliance while performing criminal background checks. Attendees will get an overview of the basics of a negligent hiring lawsuit and defenses that work and do not work and get acquainted with cutting-edge issues such as the new EEOC focus on criminal records and credit reports and the use of social network sites.
