Think a background check is only for security clearances or new jobs? Think again. Jamie Spears, the father and co-conservator of star pop singer Britney Spears, has apparently vetted his daughter’s new love interest, Charlie Ebersol, with a background check, according to “webloid” However, reports the new boyfriend did not undergo a background check while a story from 2013 supports the claim by reporting that a background check was run on a previous boyfriend of Spears. exclusively reports that Ebersol – the son of former NBC sports chief Dick Ebersol – “passed with flying colors” the strict requirements Spears’ father set for his daughter’s suitors. These requirements include a background check and confidentiality agreement.

An insider revealed to that “there wouldn’t be any exception made about Jamie’s requirement that anyone dating Britney must undergo a background check and sign the confidentiality agreement. Obviously, Charlie made the cut.”

The insider also revealed to that Ebersol, a television producer, “completely understood” when told about needing to undergo a background check and sign a confidentiality agreement to date the 32-year-old Spears. The agreement prohibits him from talking to the press about his relationship with Spears.
