However, background screening is increasingly subject to litigation including class action lawsuits, legislation, and regulation. The session by Rosen – author of “The Safe Hiring Manual” – will provide SHRM professionals a strategy to comply with their due diligence obligations. Rosen founded Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), a global background screening located in the San Francisco, California-area, in 1997. He is a frequent speaker at national and statewide conferences on background screening issues. He was the chairperson of the steering committee that founded the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and served as first co-chair.
