Attorney Lester Rosen, founder and CEO of leading global background check firm Employment Screening Resources (ESR), will present a four-part live webinar series on background checks in conjunction with business and compliance experts Aurora Training Advantage. The first course, “Background Checks: Best Practices, Trends, and Legal Compliance,” takes place on March 21, 2018. To register, click here.

The four courses are 90 minutes each and worth 1.5 recertification credits for both the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Participation in each course will lead to a Certificate of Completion that identifies participants as having completed an educational course of study in the critical areas of due diligence, legal compliance, and background checks.

Upon completion of the four-part curriculum – either by attending the live webinar or by listening to a recorded version – participants will be recognized for successfully completing a course of professional study with a “Certificate of Completion of a Course of Study for Background Checking Essentials” that represents a professional commitment to continual learning and skill development in this field.

In the introductory course, attendees will learn the basics of pre-employment background checks for employers. Rosen will review the fundamentals of background checks and negligent hiring, audit ten key areas of legal compliance and current best practices designed to help employers hire the best and avoid legal fallout, and review the mechanics of how a screening program should work.
