Learning objectives will include:
- Being able to identify effective and legal strategies to verify an applicant’s past employment and education accomplishments.
- Being able to review why employment references create legal issues for employers and strategies for obtaining information and dealing with requests from other employers.

- Being able to review new technologies and approaches to credentials verifications.
New technologies and approaches will also be reviewed such as verifications by email, as well as special issues involving international credentials and the role of social media sites and Web 2.0 in the process.
