The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) – the global authority for the background screening profession – has announced that registration is open for the 2019 NAPBS Annual Conference that will be held in San Antonio, Texas from September 8th to 10th, 2019.
The 2019 NAPBS Annual Conference will have the theme of “One World. One NAPBS.” as the NAPBS transitions into a truly global association. Attendees new to the screening industry and seasoned experts will be able to take away valuable information and resources to benefit their specific business goals.
The 2019 NAPBS Annual Conference will offer a diverse range of educational topics that include global screening techniques, strategic business sessions, technology and information security practices, legal and compliance guidelines, legislative updates, and what is on the horizon for NAPBS members.

In May of 2019, the NAPBS selected Dawn Standerwick, Vice President of Strategic Growth at Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), as the “NAPBS Volunteer of the Month.” Standerwick currently serves as Chair of the Ethics Committee and is active with the Finance and Government Relations Committees.
In October of 2018, Standerwick was recognized as longest serving Board Member in the history of the NAPBS with nine years of service that included four years as a Regular Director and five years serving on the Executive Committee as Secretary, Treasurer, Chair Elect, Chair, and Immediate Past Chair.
The NAPBS has also acknowledged that Employment Screening Resources® (ESR) completed the 3-year interim surveillance audit required by the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program (BSAAP) and would continue to be listed in the NAPBS member directory as an accredited company.
