Written By ESR News Blog Editor Thomas Ahearn

Pri Murphy, a National Account Executive for leading global background check provider Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), has completed her term as President of the Board of Directors for the Professional Association of Sonoma County (PASCO), one of the largest professional Human Resources (HR) organizations in Northern California. She will now transition into the Past President role for PASCO.

In July of 2018, Murphy assumed the role as President of the Board of Directors for PASCO, which provides leadership for the HR community in Sonoma County and the surrounding North Bay Area by promoting professional growth in the field of human resource management. Chrissy Nelson, who served as President Elect of the PASCO Board of Directors in the past year, will take over as President.

“It’s been a joy and an honor to serve PASCO’s membership alongside such a dedicated and talented Board of Directors,” said Murphy. “I look forward to PASCO’s continued growth and leadership within Sonoma County’s HR community.”

Murphy has served many roles on the PASCO Board of Directors for the past six years (five officially on the Board) including Scholarship Committee Member (first year), Vice President of Scholarship Outreach (second and third years), Secretary (fourth year), President Elect (fifth year), and President (sixth year). She has remained a member of the Scholarship Committee every year.

PASCO was originally founded in 1957 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1974. PASCO is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors elected for a term of one year beginning July 1 of each year. Committees guide the work of the organization and are comprised of Board Members and General Members. To learn more about PASCO, please visit www.pascohr.org.

Murphy joined ESR in 2013 as an Account Executive focusing on emerging and mid-sized businesses. She quickly identified non-profit organizations as a preferred vertical to help protect their employees and those they serve. She is committed to educating non-profit organizations about the importance of “Safe Hiring” and how to do so within a constrained budget through cost-effective screening programs.

Employment Screening Resources® (ESR) is not a typical screening firm and does not intend to become one. ESR was named to the 2018 HRO Today Magazine Baker’s Dozen for Top Pre-Employment Screening Services and also won the 2018 TekTonic Award from HRO Today Magazine for innovation and disruption in screening technology.
