Attorney Lester Rosen, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), will present a session about “gig economy” background screeners for the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) at the virtual 2020 PBSA Annual Conference being held due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Rosen– author of “The Safe Hiring Manual” – will present a session titled “Serving the Gig Economy – Challenges and Opportunities for Background Screeners” from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. The “gig economy” focuses on temporary work – or “gigs” – for an extended workforce with on demand workers.
A significant number of workers are engaged in the gig economy and background checks part of the marketing and risk strategies used by these “platform” firms to create consumer trust. However, screening gig economy workers is more complex than it sounds and the session by Rosen will explore potential landmines and traps.
The 2020 PBSA Annual Conference will offer expert presenters speaking about a diverse range of educational topics that include global screening techniques, strategic business sessions, technology and information security practices, legal and compliance guidelines, legislative updates, and what is on the horizon for PBSA members.
Attendees new to the screening industry and seasoned experts will receive valuable information and resources. Companies offering screening services and products will also attend.
