Attorney Lester Rosen, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of leading global background check firm Employment Screening Resources® (ESR), and Dawn Standerwick, ESR Vice President of Strategic Growth, will present a live webinar titled “Update to Health Care Background Screening and How to Reduce Hiring Risk” on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time / 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The webinar – hosted by Lorman Education Services – will provide attendees with a better understanding of background checks for health care organizations that have employees who work with patients and interact with medical records. Rosen is the author of “The Safe Hiring Manual” and was chairperson of the steering committee that founded the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) – a nonprofit organization representing the background screening industry formerly known as the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) – and served as the first co-chair. In 2019, Rosen was awarded the PBSA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Standerwick has more than 25 years of experience in workforce screening solutions with extensive knowledge of background screening, drug testing, and occupational health testing. In 2018, Standerwick was recognized as the longest serving board member in PBSA history with nine years of service, four as a Regular Director and five serving on the Executive Committee as Secretary, Treasurer, Chair Elect, Chair, and Immediate Past Chair.
