The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – an organization with more than 300,000 HR and business executive members located in 165 countries – will host the 2022 SHRM Employment Law & Compliance Conference (ELCC) in Washington, D.C., and live online from March 28 to 30, 2022.
The SHRM ELCC will feature a session titled “Social Media Background Screening. Is it Right for My Company?” presented by Attorney Lester S. Rosen, the founder of Employment Screening Resources (ESR) and author of “The Safe Hiring Manual,” from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
This session will examine the pros and cons of utilizing social media, discrimination issues, the use of legal off-duty conduct, and privacy, accuracy, and authenticity issues. Attendees will learn strategies for getting the information they may need while minimizing potential dangers. Attendees will also:
