EEOC Announces Opening of Registration for 25th Annual EXCEL Conference

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced the opening of registration for the 25th annual EXCEL (Examining Conflicts in Employment Laws) training conference that will be held virtually from August 23rd to August 25th, 2022, according to a press release from the EEOC.  

The theme for this year’s conference is “25 Years of Excellence.” EEOC Chair Charlotte A. Burrows and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Kiran Ahuja will open the conference with a fireside chat to discuss the efforts of the EEOC and OPM to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in workplaces.

The EXCEL conference provides the federal and private employer community with tools and strategies to address emerging issues in equal employment opportunity (EEO) law and is geared toward EEO managers, Human Resource (HR) professionals, attorneys, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) specialists.

The conference will feature more than 30 interactive workshops on issues such as pay equity, racial and systemic discrimination, civil rights and the pandemic, retaliation, and artificial intelligence and algorithmic decision-making.
