On March 17, 2023, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published an updated version of “A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act” for both the English and Spanish versions pursuant to the Updated and Corrected Agency Contact Information Rule, according to a message on the CFPB website.
The CFPB is issuing this final rule to make non-substantive corrections and updates to CFPB and other Federal agency contact information found at certain locations in Regulation V that implements the FCRA including Federal agency contact information provided with “A Summary of Your Rights Unter the FCRA.”
This final rule – which takes effect April 19, 2023 – also makes various non-substantive changes to Regulation V. However, the mandatory compliance date for the amendments to appendix K to Regulation V is March 20, 2024, according to the final rule.
