Employment Screening Resources® (ESR) – a global background check firm – is pleased to announce that Dawn Standerwick, ESR Vice President of Strategic Growth, has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS®) for the 2016-17 term.
“It is an enormous honor to serve NAPBS and the screening profession in this capacity,” said Standerwick. “The work being done by NAPBS provides real value to our members, to the employer community, and to consumers and I am pleased to be a part of the important role we fulfill for organizations worldwide.”
“ESR would like to congratulate our own Dawn Standerwick on becoming chair of the NAPBS,” said ESR Founder and CEO Attorney Lester Rosen, who was the chairperson of the steering committee that founded the NAPBS and served as first co-chair. “As a founding member of the NAPBS, ESR is delighted to mark this milestone and know Dawn will serve the association well.”
A seasoned background screening industry professional, Standerwick is a long time member of the Board of Directors for the NAPBS. She is actively involved on the NAPBS government relations committee and regularly participates in legislative advocacy efforts on behalf of the Association.
A press release from the NAPBS announced that the other NAPBS Officers joining Standerwick for 2016-17 would be Scott Hall, FirstPoint Background Screening Resources, chair-elect; and Angela Preston, Sterling Talent Solutions, secretary/treasurer. Julie Hakman, AmericanChecked Inc., will serve as immediate past chair.
Elected for two-year board terms as regular NAPBS member directors were Brittany Bollinger, MBI Worldwide; Catherine X. Leung (Phan), HireRight; and Heidi Seaton, Orange Tree Employment Screening. Re-elected for a two-year term to represent industry provider members was Scott Maloney, Omni Data Retrieval.
Continuing on the board as regular NAPBS member directors are Bon Idziak, Accurate Background; Gregory Kirsch, Applicant Insight; and Michelle K. Leblond, PlusOne Solutions Inc. Kerstin Bagus, ClearStar Inc., also remains on the board as an associate board member representing providers to the industry.
